DISCONTINUED
The brand-new CraftROBO Lite is the latest addition to the CraftROBO family. Not only do you have the freedom of designing your shape then sending it to the Craft ROBO for cutting, but now you can use your Craft ROBO Lite without a computer.
S
ave your images onto a SD Memory card. Then insert the card into the card slot on your Craft ROBO Lite.
Using the LCD display, select the shape you want to cut.
Now you can save your favourite shapes onto your memory card and bring your Craft ROBO Lite to your next crop.
Please note, you need to purchase an SD card and card reader to use this feature of the Craft ROBO Lite.
The latest software also has a couple of new features that every scrapbooker/cardmaker will appreciate. You now have the ability to weld and offset your titles. Just type the individual letters of your word, move them so they are overlapping and select weld. With one click of the button your letters are now joined. Then click another button and you can select the offset (shadow matte) properties.
Don't forget the autotracing feature of ROBO Master, which allows you to load clip art and then the program will automatically trace a cutting outline around the edges of the image. This line is what the Craft ROBO will follow when it cuts out your very own unique die cut. Imagine all those great designs you have in books and magazines. You can scan them into your computer and then load them into ROBO Master to trace. Did I mention the Internet? There are literally millions of images and clip art freely available to use with your Craft ROBO Lite.
What else can you use?
The Craft ROBO also allows you to use your installed true type fonts and make them any size up to A4 . You can use a variety of cutting materials up to A4 in size. You may think of it as a small printer, but instead of printing your image or title it has a small blade that cuts your image, and just like your printer it connects to your computer through the USB port.
So what's the difference between the new Craft ROBO Lite and the Craft ROBO 2?
The Craft ROBO 2 has an optical eye that allows you to print a full-colour graphic onto a printer and then cut it out for a perfect colourful die cut. This feature is called print and cut. The Lite does not have this feature. You cab still purchase the Craft ROBO 2.
Anything Else I need to know?
The Craft ROBO 2 also allows you to cut lengths of vinyl up to one metre. The Lite has a maximum length of 12 inches. The Craft ROBO 2 is a little faster at cutting than the Lite.
The new Carrier sheets that come with the Craft ROBO Lite are 12 inches in length and have a grid printed on them, making it easier to line up your shapes onscreen, in relation to where they will cut on the carrier sheet. Also being 12 inches in length, allows you to cut a full 12 inch border or title to place onto your scrapbooking page.
Do I have to buy extra cartridges to use my Craft ROBO?
A HUGE advantage is the fact that you NEVER need to purchase another die or cartridge again. because you can use your installed computer fonts or create your own shape. If you can't draw, there are thousands of free shapes on the internet created by fellow scrapbookers to share.
